Givaudan Sense Colour is adding an Inside Sales Representative to its team in Louisville, Kentucky! 

This position is ideally situated for training and development to grow within our organization, working closely with our other Inside Sales Managers to achieve Givaudan Sense Colour’s objectives.

The Inside Sales Representative  is an exciting sales position focused on revenue growth with our small to mid-size customers and prospects, primarily through a telesales approach.

The Inside Sales Representative  in this role contributes significantly to our overall regional targets, with telesales customers representing nearly 10% of total potential revenues. 

Inside Sales Representative  Responsibilities:
  • Plan and prioritize telesales activities for customer contacts to achieve the budgeted annual sales revenue and gross margin target, including 10-15 telephone calls per day to existing or prospective customers.
  • Manage product portfolio (SKUs) to achieve telesales annual revenue and gross margin target, in accordance with the Regional Sales Team business development objectives.
  • Develop annual sales budget to achieve business development objectives
  • Work closely with brokers or distributors to facilitate progress on commonly shared revenue goals, serve as primary contact for information requests from SCBU’s broker partners.
  • Work with customer service to deliver exceptional service for telesales customers.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups on business development projects.
  • Ensure collection of open invoices for small to mid-size customers.
  • Track and update customer data in appropriate databases.
  • Monitor market and competitive activities – communicate relevant information.
  • Attend technical training and selected industry events to develop knowledge of caramel and exempt colorants, food industry and sales function and to represent Givaudan Sense Colour.
Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1+ years previous sales experience
  • Must be highly organized
  • Persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills; demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Strong sense of urgency to achieve defined objectives
  • Demonstrated overall business understanding and capabilities
  • Comfortable with utilizing technology tools such as databases and Microsoft Office to enable more effective business results
  • Previous experience in telesales helpful
  • Must be a “people person” with a service orientation. 
  • Ability to listen, perform needs analysis and turn problems into action.
  • Physical Demands:
    • Extended periods of sitting/standing
    • Travel 5% to support Regional Sale activity, as necessary
